Growing Girl

September 5th, 2008

Emma is now 4 1/2 months. She is such a happy baby…a pure delight to be with. She is delicious in every way…I can go on and on. She has discovered her toys and is rolling over. She has a problem getting her arm out from under her after she rolls, but she scoots up her legs in the crawling position. I know she will be on the move soon. This little girl came out holding her head up, and she just wants to do everything so fast. I was telling one of the ladies, from my Bible study at church, that I feel an overwhelming love for her. She smiled and said, “can you believe that is how God feels about us.” Pretty amazing!!!

Best Buddies

September 5th, 2008

Grace loves to play with Jackson. She would be over at his house all day if she could. The first day Hope started school Sarah asked Grace if she is going to miss Hope and Jackson said, “Don’t worry Grace. I will play with you.” So cute!

My friend, Candace, took these cute pictures.

Second Grade

August 27th, 2008

Today Hope started 2nd grade. The summer flew by, as most summers do, and before I knew it I was getting school supplies together and washing uniforms. Grace woke up this morning and said that she is going to miss Hope. I am going to miss her too. I have enjoyed watching Hope and Grace play together this summer. They have great imaginations. Hope has been a great help with Emma. She’s a natural little mommy.

Hope was excited to start school. I made her waffles and turkey bacon this morning. (One of her favorites…actually anything with syrup is a favorite.) We were running late…as usual, so we don’t have any pictures of her at school. But we will take some tomorrow morning and add them to the site. School really shouldn’t start until at least 8:45! Give parents a chance in the morning…my goodness!!!

Thank you to Auntie Mandy for getting Hope the cute Puma shoes (she looked so sporty spice today!). Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Haas for the uniform clothes (she loves the vest) and backpack. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Allen for the school supplies and cute hair cut for the new year! We appreciate the help so very much. And any other contributions throughout the year will be accepted with open arms. =)

San Juan Capistrano

August 25th, 2008

Grandma treated us to a train trip to San Juan. We had a great day and took some wonderful pictures with Grandma!

The kids were excited as they waited for the train to arrive. Grace put her fingers in her ears almost the whole time we were waiting because she didn’t like the loud noise of the train.

All aboard!! Grandma made the girls cute purses and brought chocolate covered pretzels. It made their first train ride so much fun!

We ate lunch at Rubys. My favorite place! It was delicious!

We stopped to take some pictures on our way to the petting zoo.

Hope loved riding on the horse at the petting zoo.

Grace decided she would watch Hope on the horse rather than ride it herself.

Grandma feeding the pony…takes her back to her days on the farm.

After the zoo we walked to The Mission. It was very expensive, so instead we thought a picture in front of it would be nice.

This is my favorite picture!

Emma was great the whole day! She didn’t fuss once. What a great smile!!!

Grace is voting for…

August 17th, 2008

Our little Grace will soon be hitting the campaign trail for Barack Obama. Ever since the democratic election (thanks to me and Adam having CNN on all the time) Grace has been very excited to say “Obama.” She started saying his name at the most random times and since we all started laughing, she quite enjoys saying it over and over. She now recognizes him on the television. Barack Obama has quite the catchy name…too bad for him, 3 year olds aren’t allowed to vote.

Last Day of Swim

August 15th, 2008

The girls had fun on their last day of swim, especially because they know they get two pieces of candy! Hope loves diving board day. Grace cried again but at least she went off. We finally got Emma a pair of sunglasses to protect her little eyes…too bad it was the very last day of swim! She should get more use out of them and she looks so cute!

Reading Time

August 15th, 2008

Hope is wonderful at being a loving big sister. Emma was quite intrigued, so Grace couldn’t resist joining in.

Fun Clothes

August 3rd, 2008

Grace got this little outfit from Great Grandma. So of course we had to look through Hope’s drawers for something similar for her to  wear. Grace loves this outfit! It is all she has been wanting to wear. She even asked to wear it to church.

Short Cut

August 1st, 2008

I donated my hair to Locks of Love. The short cut will be much easier! And Adam loves short hair!!
